Regional food production layout based on food security and ecological security——The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

The grain production capacity assessment system for the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was constructed based on food security and ecological security,and indicators of cultivated land resources,grain planting,environmental pressure,social and economic development were selected. The results were as follows. The cultivated land resources in good condition are mainly concentrated in the plain area of Nenjiang river area,West Liaohe area and Hetao-Tumochuan plain area. Land resources,grain market,willingness to grow grain affect the regional food cultivation. We should consider the sustainable development of ecological security and food security. Rapid urbanization,industrialization and population agglomeration will have a great impact on regional grain production. In order to ensure the regional food security,we should make scientific and rational planning for grain production layout based on the evaluation of grain production capacity.
