EFFECT OF SLOPE LENGTH ON RUNOFF AND SOIL EROSION

Based on observation data of experiment plots at the City of Zhangjiakou,analysis was made on the effect of rainfall intensity on the relationship among slope length,runoff and soil loss.While rainfall intensity was low,runoff did not increase linearly with slope length,and soil loss did not increase significantly with slope length.When rainfall intensity was high,runoff could be replaced by slope length plus rainfall intensity,and soil loss increased significantly with slope length. \ \
