Environmental Regulations and Competitiveness of Corporations——Oppugn based on "Porter Hypothesis"

XU Shi-chun
Porter hypothesis considers that felicitous environmental regulations may bestir corporations to innovate, so environmental regulations will be good for the competitiveness of corporations. However, this paper thinks that Porter hypothesis is not of universality. The effects of environmental regulations on competitiveness of corporations are different if the corporations are in different places. In this case, environmental measurement must be adopted in accordance with the actuality of corporations in China.
