Photochemical Resonance Scattering Spectrophotometric Determination of Microamount of Silver

In the medium of 0 04mol/L H 2SO 4 and 0 3% triton X-10,Ag(Ⅰ) was reduced photochemically to form silver colliode by means of UV-light.It exhibits a sensitive resonance scattering peak at 450nm.A new photochemical resonance scattering spectrophotometric method for 0 1~4μg/ml Ag has been described.It has a detection limit of 0 05μg/ml Ag.The results show that this method has rapidity and easy to operate when it is applied to the determination of silver in waste water.
