Review on the Service Industrial Classification at Home and Abroad

FANG Yuan-ping1,BI Dou-dou2 (1. S outh China Normal University,Guangzhou 510631; 2. South China University of Technology,Guangzhou 510006,China)
Service industry is the most complex and multifarious industry,so the classification of service industry is different from each other in most of countries in the world. The paper gives a brief introduction and review on the main classification of service industry in foreign countries, and then analyzes and compares the classification of service industry in China's national economic sectors in 1985,1994 and 2002. It is argued that the Western four-sector classification of service industry could be integrated with the 15-sector classification of service industry in China, which will more objectively reflect the economic characteristics, help to find the rule of development and the allocation pattern of distribution, and promote the comparative study between China and foreign countries.
