A Density—Tectonic Stress Wave with Ultra-Low Frequency Before Earthquakes

Zhao Fuyuan,Zhang Guodong and Han Yanben(National Astronomical Observatories,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100012,China)  
A correlation between astrometric residual anomalies of universal time and latitude prior to earthquakes has been found and repeatedly verified by different observatories.The other two kinds of measurement,such as the anomalies of the earth apparent resistivity and the fault moment before earthquakes,have approximatively the same physical mechanism with the astrometric anomalies mentioned above.These phenomena are coincidence well with the thermodynamical model suggested by some authors.Based on the consistency between observational data and theoretical model,we propose that there exists a density—tectonic stress wave with ultra-low frequency emitted from the epicenter region before earthquakes.
