Nonlinear Random Static Analysis of Cable-Stayed and T-Framed Bridge

Geometric nonlinear behaviors are very significant in the long span cable-stayed and T rigid frame bridges,and the uncertainties of the material,the physical dimension,etc.The Response Surface approach is adopted and random variables that have significant impact on the dependent variables are selected to fit response surface to analyze nonlinear stochastic static of a cable-stayed and T-framed bridge—Jinma Bridge.The vertical deflection of connecting section between cable-stayed and T-framed under the dead load is analyzed when the material and the physical dimension of structure are assumed to be random.Numerical results show that the randomness has a significant effect on the mid-span deflection.The uncertainties of the material of stayed cable are the main influencing factors to structural response.The research can provide references for the cable-stayed and T rigid frame bridges analysis and give the corresponding idea for the random parameter uncertainty analysis of the complex structures.
