Preparation of Foam Ceramics for Organism Carrier by Polymeric Foam Replication

Foam ceramics for organism carrier are made from clay by polymeric foam replication.The effect of silicasol content on the slurry character or the compression strength of the foam ceramics and the effect of the slurry solids-content on foam ceramic porosity and compression strength and the appearance with the solids-content of the slurry are researched.The foam ceramic porosity is 85% and compression strength is 2.5 MPa when the silicasol content is about 1.5% and solids-content 65%.
