On the Application of Social Network Analysis in Tourism Research

From the peculiar structural viewpoint,Social Network Analysis is good at accurate quantitative analysis to various relations and it has been applied to analyze many social phenomena,such as economics and management.No one can deny the fact that tourism is also a social phenomenon.By pointing out there are many inherent and intrinsic network properties in tourism,and many other scholars have paid attention to this issue.After reviewing their researches,this article indicates the applicability and necessity of Social Network Analysis in the tourism research.Moreover,this article tries to investigate its further use in tourist flow and tourism destination spatial competition and cooperation,tourism destination management,tourism enterprise management,tourist attitude and decision-making behaviors.
