The investigation of job satisfaction of contract nurses in second A hospitals

Objective: To investigate and analyze the job satisfaction of contract nurses in second A hospitals in Beijing in order to provide scientific basis for contract nurse management, contract nurses stability and nursing quality improvement. Methods: 356 contract nurses from 18 second A hospitals in Beijing were investigated by a questionnaire. Results: The score of job satisfaction was low (3.08±0.55), the percentage of dissatisfaction was 45.5%.They dissatis- faction items was fringe benefit, profession improvement chance. Job stress correlated to job satisfaction negatively. Conclusion: Increasing the fringe benefit, creating professional improve- ment chance, and decreasing job stress were effective methods to increase the job satisfaction of contract nurses.
