Study of Several Mechanics Questions on Plant Root System

GUO Wei-jun, HUANG Gao-bao, WANG Fen-e, WU jian-min (Gansu Agricultural University, Lanzhou, 730070, China)  
According to biomechanical properties, mechanical principle of Soil-fixation and water-uptake model of plant root system, this paper outlines the main contents and the research progress on plant root material mechanics, deals with the main achievement in soil-fixation and soil anti- erosion of soil-root composite, and Summarizes the main mechanical model and situations of application about water-uptake in plant root system model. It put forward key questions for study and developing tendency in the future in plant root system mechanics.
