Further Research on the Hyperbolic Fitting Method for Prediction of Subgrad Settlement

Measured settlements of many structures built on soft ground develop with hyperbola of time, so the hyperbolic fitting method is a very important settlement prediction method It has small number of parameters which are determined easily by field observed settlements, and is widely used in settlement prediction of highway embankments on soft ground In this paper, through settlement prediction of the actual case of Shan-Fen expressway, some main factors in the hyperbolic fitting method are studied Some measures to improve predicting accuracy are proposed
