Finite Element Nonlinear Analysis for the Flexural Strengthening of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams

In this paper,the complete nonlinear numerical analysis of the carbon fiber reinforced concrete beams is made using the finite element method.A series of reasonable methods are adopted to solve the difficult problem in nonlinear numerical calculation of the beam.The nonlinear behavior of the beam is elaborated.The numerical results are quite consistent with the test results,and the reasons for error are analysed . The numerical results show that the flexural strengthening of carbon fiber reinforced concrete beams can be forecasted and simulated accurately on the basis of reasonable finite element numerical model and reasonable solution strategy.At the same time,the numerical research work may be a reference for further research.
