Research on the Practical Design Method of Asphalt Pavement Overlay on Existing Cement Concrete Pavement

In this paper,a thickness design method of asphalt pavement overlay is discussed in accordance with the structural properties of asphalt pavement overlay on the existing cement concrete pavement.The method established criteria by controlling the reflection cracking of the overlay and shear failure between the overlay and the existing cement pavement.Furthermore,the corresponding stress formulas are analyzed.
