A GPRS-GPS Based Onboard Navigation System

This paper discussed a method,using GPRS technology,which can solve the problem of communication speed limit in GSMGPS Positioning of Vehicles.It can transmit the positioning information of automobile in RealTime through GPRS wireless data transmission link.The architecture and working theory of the GPRSGPS Positioning of Vehicles is introduced in details,focusing on design of ARM embedded hardware system and development of software stacks such as TCP/IP,PPP,etc,which are the main parts of this solution.The onboard device based on the GPRS technology was tested,with satisfied results.
