Research on Fatigue Characteristic of Steel Bridges Deck Pavement by the Method of Damage-fracture Mechanics

Based on the method of damage-fracture mechanics,the mechanical behavior and fatigue fracture characteristic of asphalt mixture surfacing under repeated load was analyzed.Adopting the viscous-elastic method of energy conversion,the stress,strain and fracture distribution or evolvement patterns of steel bridges deck asphalt mixture surfacing composite structure were explored.At the same time,its fatigue life pre-evaluating formula was proposed.Finally,comparing with other methods,an example of the steel bridges deck pavement of Nanjing Second Yangtze River Bridge,was provided to test the rationality of the pre-evaluating formula.
