Parameter Identification and Analysis of Tube Friction Resistance Loss in the Post-tensioned Pre-stressed Concrete Girders

In view of the importance and necessity of the tube friction resistance loss test to the post-tensioned pre-stressed concrete(girders,)the principle and method of the test to determine the coefficients of the tube friction resistance loss are described in this(paper.)The test method was applied to a practical testing on site.Based on the site-test datum,the least square technique is used to identify the tube friction resistance coefficient μ and the tube deviation coefficients k.The rationality of the test method and the reliability of the(identified) results are illustrated.Summing up the values of coefficient μ presented in many literatures,the coefficient μ,which affects the result of resistance loss calculaion more than others,has great variance and the test results are in many situations larger than those in the specifications.Conclusion can be made that the coefficient μ should be decided as far as possible by the factual test.Some suggestions are also made on the site test.
