Hazards of Nitric Oxide in Highway Tunnels and Research on Detection

DUAN Xin1,JI Weiyu2,WANG Lixiu3
Imperfect ventilation in highway tunnels is easy to cause accumulation of large number of automobile exhausts harmful to human beings, such as CO and nitric oxide(NOx),etc.,which should be controlled within a certain density. This paper introduces hazards of NOx and detecting methods for NOx density in tunnels and carries out research on detection in tunnels in operation. The paper adopts spectrophotometry and electrochemical sensor method for practical detection, and compares data obtained from different methods, the results of detection can provide a reference for ventilation design of tunnels.
