Clinical trial of combined ulinastatin and octreotide in treatment of severe acute pancreatitis

Objective To investigate the effects of ulinastin(UTI)and octreotide in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods Forty-one cases of SAP were applied respectively to two groups:the trial group with ulinastain and octreotide(n=21),control group with octreotide(n=20).The symptom,sign and lab exams were detected.Results Compared with the control group,the cure rate and the total efficacy rate of trial group were significantly improved.The positive ratio of serum amylase(AMS)and urine AMS were remarkably different at 5th and 10th day after treatment(P0.05),and that of serum calcium was also significantly different at 5th day after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Combined UTI and octreotide can significantly improve clinical efficacy in treatment of SAP.
