Optical characterization of manganese-doped zinc sulfide nanoparticles synthesized in microemulsion

ZnS∶Mn nanoparticles were prepared in microemulsion at room temperature.Manganese doped zinc sulfide nanoparticles obtained are distributed from 3 to 5nm in diameter as determined by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and calculated according to the effected mass model of Brus.Ultraviolet absorption demonstrates the increased bandgap due to quantum confinement. The optical characteristics shown by PLE and PL spectroscopy were discussed.
