Study on the preparation and electromagnetic properties of Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibre with magnetic-field-induced method

The atoms of Fe and Ni obtained by chemically decomposing Fe(CO)_5 and Ni(CO)_4 vapor was induced in the magnetic field,and then formed Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibre.The content of Fe and Ni in fibers can be adjusted by the volume ratio of Fe(CO)_5 to Ni(CO)_4.The morphology and diameter of Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibre can be controlled by the decomposition temperature and magnetic field strength and so on.Study of the microstructure shows that C element exists!in different forms in Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibre(x=80,55,20).It was also shown that Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibres can take the shape of straight-type,Y-type,and zigzag-type.Through controlling magnetic field strength and decomposition temperature,Y-type Fe_(55)Ni_(45) fibre can be changed into straight-type fibre and the diameter can be reduced to about 2μm.The permittivity and permeability of Fe_(20)Ni_(80) fibre were measured with network analyzer in X-band.The result shows that Fe_xNi_(100-x) fibre possesses high permeability and excellent frequency dispersion.The real and imaginary permeability of fibre-filled composite are 3 and 1.2 at 8GHz,respectively.
