Corrosion Resistance of FeMnSiCrNi Shape Memory Alloy

Corrosion resistance of FeMnSiCrNi alloy was studied. Loss weight showed that corrosion resistance of FeMnSiCrNi alloy was better than that of 316 and 304 stainless steels,which was 4~5 times that of 316 and 304. Anodic and cathodic polarization measurments were conducted separately for different type of alloy. Ecorr of FeMnSiCrNi was more positive value for all alloys. Icorr of FeMnSiCrNi was smaller than that of 316 and 304 stainless steels.
