Advances in Chemical Constitutents of Tartary Buckwheat and Its Bioactivites

Tartary buckwheat is a kind of medicinal and edible minor cereal crops,and is planted large-scale in our country.It has been paid extensive attention for it is rich in bioflavonoids.In recent years,many researchers also found that Tartary buckwheat contains saponins,chiral inositol and other bio-active substances,and proved significant bioactivities of these compounds.In this paper,the chemical composition and biological activities of tartary buckwheat was reviewed,which provides references for its further development and exploitation.
