Determination of Trace Thallium in Geological Materials by GFAAS After Preconcentration by Polyurethane Foam

An analytical method of the determination of trace thallium in geological materials by GFAAS after preconcentration by polgurethane foam was developed in this paper. The detection limit of themethod is 0. 05μg/g. The dynamic working range is 10- 300ng/mL. The relative standard deviationis 6. 0% in the levels of 0. 71μg/g. 26 geochemiCal reference materials(GSR1- 6,GSS1- 8 and GSD1- 12) were determined by the method. The results obtained are in good agreement with the certifiedvalues.
