Determination of Copper in Tomato Powder by FAAS-Suspension Sample Introduction Technique

The determination of trace amount of copper in tomato powder by FAAS suspension sample introduction technique was reported.The method has been proved to be simple,rapid and accurate.Samples were powdered and sieved after heated at 105±2℃ for 4 hours.5—10mL 0.15% agar solution was added and mixed throughly with the samples.Then the prepared suspension of sample is directly introduced to the apparatus for determination.The result obtained is the same as that the classic wet treatment.It is found that the relative deviation of two treatment methods is ±0.96%.And the result of t significance test shows that there is no significant difference between these two treatment methods.
