Studies on Insect Species Diversity in the Secondary Forest Region of Taizi Mountains in Gansu Province

The pathway expedition and sample plot survey on insect species diversity in the secondary forest region of Taizi mountains in Gansu Province were carried out for six years from 2000 to 2005.As the result,the insect fauna was identified into 682 species,belonging to 507 genera,131 families and 13 orders.In addition,some important indicators including diversity indexes(H′),evenness indexes(E),dominance indexes(D) and similarity coefficients(J) of insect species in ten forest types with different composition of plant species were compared and analyzed.The results showed that the diversity indexes(H′) and evenness indexes(E) of insects in those forest types with complexity and diversity of plant species were higher,and its dominance indexes(D) were lower.The similarity coefficients(J) of insect species composition among the ten different forest types were lower,among which the insect species composition in alpine bushes dominated by the species of Rhododendron were significantly different from other forest types.
