Studies on genetic polymorphism of microsatellite loci linked to FecB gene in Small Tail Han sheep and their correlation to litter size

LI Shi-dong,HU Jiang,LUO Yu-zhu,CHENG Shu-ru,FANG Su-li(College of Animal Science and Technology,Gansu Agricultural University,Lanzhou 730070,China)
Three microsatellite loci(LSCV043,300U,BMS2508)linked to FecB gene mapped to chromosome 6 were selected to analyze the genetic polymorphism and to detect the correlation to litter size traits in Small Tail Han sheep breed(32 individuals as materials). The results showed that the numbers of alleles for this three microsatellite loci were 11,8,10 in Small Tail Han sheep. The PIC,H and Ne of LSCV043,300U and BMS2508 were 0.851/0.878/7.39,0.822/0.853/6.24,0.858/0.885/7.75 respectively.Least squares means of the litter size for the genotype 139/115bp of LSCV043,the genotype 172/156bp of 300U and the genotype 178/166 bp of BMS2508 were the highest(3.67,4.00,4.00number born/litter).
