A conservation priority evaluation system of the secondary natural units within a nature reserve based on community species diversity

The primary valleys as the secondary natural units and management units within a nature reserve have strong definition and controllability in its geographic ranges,so that a nature reserve functional division on the basis of valleys has less subjective factors and is convenient for formulating more pertinent reserve planning and relevant management measures.Constructing the conservation priority evaluation system of community species diversity of the secondary natural units,the valleys within a nature reserve,as the evaluation scale would be helpful to enhance nature reserve planning and functional division more scientific and promote management level.Taking the condition data from the Liancheng National Nature Reserve of Gansu Province as the case,and applying the method of principal component analysis,a conservation priority evaluation system of community species diversity of community types and the valleys was constructed in this paper.The results showed that the conservation priority ordination of community types in the nature reserve was as follows:Picea wilsonii forest,Betula albo-sinensis forest,Spiraea shrub,Rhododendron shrub,Picea crassifolia forest,Berberis shrub,Betula utilis forest,Pinus tabulaeformis forest,Cotoneaster shrub,Betula platyphylla forest,Sabina przewalskii forest,Populus davidiana forest,Rhamnus shrub,Potentilla fruticosa shrub,Caragana shrub and Salix shrub;the conservation priority ordination of the valleys was as follows:Tulu Valley,Zhulin Valley,Gangzi Valley,Tiecheng Valley,Shuimo Valley,Xiaoxinger Valley,Xiaxi Valley,Pengzi Valley,Xiaogangzi Valley,Quhongtu Valley,Zhinanbei Valley,Jingzhi Valley,Shangxi Valley and Sudu Valley.
