Effects of producing areas on main chemical compositions of major flue-cured tobacco cultivars

The characteristics and differences of chemical compositions of major flue-cured tobacco cultivar from different producing areas were detected and analyzed.The results showed that total sugar and reduce sugar contents of 'Yunyan 87' and 'Yunyan 85' were both higher than that of other flue-cured tobacco cultivars.Total sugar,reduce sugar,nicotine,K content,ratio of reduce sugar to nicotine,ratio of total nitrogen to nicotine,and K/Cl of each flue-cured tobacco cultivar from different producing areas had remarkable differences.Total nitrogen contents of 'Yunyan 87' from different producing areas had little difference,while those of 'Yunyan 85',''Zhongyan 100' and 'Longjiang 911' were the same.On the contrary,total nitrogen content of 'K326' from all producing areas had remarkable differences.For all flue-cured tobacco cultivars,their suitable producing areas were discussed comparatively.
