Study on the Extractlon of Pectin From Residue of Sugarbeet(Ⅱ)--a Acid Extraction and Aluminium Sulfate Preciptaion Technique

The pectin was extracted fron the residues of sugardbeet using the acid extraction and aluminium salt precipitation techniques When the ratio of raw material and water was 1:8 and the fructose concentration was 1.2 % , the amount of aluminium salt should be the ratio of 7∶100 (10%Al 2(SO 4) 3 extractio liquid and the optimal pH 4.4~4.7. The liquid of dealuminium consisted of 95% enthanol,water and 37%hydrochloric acid,with a ratio of 8: 1.5: 0.5. A magnification test was carried out using the method and the parameters mentioned above.As a resul,22% of pectin,which contained 68.33 % of galacturonic acid and 65.97% of fat, was extracted from the residues of sugarbeet.By the chemical quantitative analysis,there was no AL existed in the extracted pectin.Excrpt the gelation which need further study,the other qualityindices are all accorded with the government standard for the edible pectin.
