SOME PROBLEMS OF TREATING WOOLLEN DYEING WASTEWATER THROUGH IRON ELECTRODE ELECTROLYSIS

This article approaches problems existing in treating woollen dyeing wastewater through iron electrode electrolysis. It analyses that the ineffi -ciency is due to unsuitable consideration of operative conditions and thermo dynamic control requirment in the design and operation. It also discusses a way to cut down power consumption about 15-30% by the steps as to reduce the distance between electrodes, to employ of dual seriesed electrodes and change the arrangement of electrode plates, and to operate with low current density. In addition, it introduces simple and convenient computing formulae and their parameters, dealing with the Law of Faraday and the jformulae of Nernest and Tafel. A computing example is presented in the Iarticle.
