Study on External Circular Anaerobic Reactor for Brewery Wastewater Treatment

External circular anaerobic reactor was applied to treat brewery wastewater,and the treatment effect,the granular sludge formation and its characteristics were investigated.The results show that using aerobic excess sludge as seeding sludge,and applying a start-up mode with low load and high removal rate,the granular sludge can be formed quickly,its settleability is good and its size is mainly in the range of 0.8 to 2.0 mm.During the stable operation period,when the influent COD is 2 000 to 4 000 mg/L,alkalinity is 1 000 to 1 500 mg/L,temperature is 30 to 32 ℃ and volume loading rate is 10 to 12 kgCOD/(m3·d),the CODemoval rate is about 80%.It is concluded that the external circular anaerobic reactor can effectively treat brewery wastewater.The reactor operates stably and has stronger resistance to shock loading.
