Treatment of Micro-polluted Water by Combination of Pre-oxidation, Coagulation and Microfiltration Membrane

The combination of pre-oxidation( pre-ozonation or pre-chlorination),coagulation and polyvinylidene fluoride( PVDF) microfiltration membrane was used to treat micro-polluted water from Huangpu River. The results showed that the combination of pre-ozonation,coagulation and PVDF microfiltration membrane could achieve excellent permeate water,which met the Standards for Drinking Water Quality( GB 5749- 2006). The effluent Mn and CODMnof the combined process with sodium hypochlorite could not meet the standard. With constant flux,increase of TMP was better inhibited by pre-ozonation than by pre-chlorination. Analysis of chemical cleaning solution also indicated that organic matter was responsible for membrane fouling,and ozone could remove more macromolecular organic matter,thus reduce membrane fouling.
