Marx's Civil Society Theory and the Connotation of Contemporary Chinese Civil Society

From the angle of history,this paper summarizes the historical development of civil society in ancient China as well as in Western countries.Besides,it clarifies the historical evolution of Marx's civil society in different stages and points out the fact that both the Marx's civil society and Chinese civil society have undergone the growth from immaturity to maturity.This paper focuses on making an analysis of the age connotation of Marx's civil society and the contemporary Chinese civil society and differentiating the similarities and differences between them.Both of them have distinct age connotation and acknowledge that the civil society creates the country.They both stick to the summation of relations of the material life in civil society and the profound significance is admitted in the field of economy.The differences between them mainly focus on the historical culture and the soil of cultivating citizens culture and also their emphasis is distinctly different.The construction of contemporary Chinese civil society needs to combine the similarities and differences of connotation.Finding the similarities between them and paying enough attention to the differences will better guide our practices.
