Study on Hydrophobic Organic/Inorganic Composite Film by Sol-gel Method

This paper presented the process of preparation of hydrophobic organic /inorganic composite film on the surface of glass substrates by the sol gel method,in which PEFT and silica sol were used as major raw materials.XRD,IR,SEM and TG DTA were used to study the chemical physical changes of the film at temperature treatment as well as the surface structure of the film The results show that the simultanrous interpenetrating polymer network structure is formed with the organic and the inorganic composition.The composite film shows excellent adhesive strength and hydrophobic properties on base substrates
