Preparation and Characterization of Al-pillared Ca-Na Montmorillonite

Al pillared montmorillonite,prepared by inserting aluminium polycation into CaNa montmorillonite from Datong in Shanxi, was Chiefly introduced in this paper. The prepared sample has been characterized using XRD, N_2 adsorption-desorption and infrared spectroscopy. The test results showed that interlayer spacing of the prepared sample is 1.94nm, the BET surface area is 273.87m2/g, microvolum is 0.1174cm3/g, and most probable value of micropore size and mesopore size is individually 0.738nm and 3.766nm.
