Development of Mullite-aluminium Titanate High Temperature Kiln Furniture

Mullite/aluminium titanate multiphase material was synthesized.Effect of firing temperature and the content of mullite/aluminium titanate multiphase material on the properties of mullite-aluminium titanate high temperature kiln furniture were investigated by means of XRD,SEM and thermal simulation experiment.Conclusion as follows:Mullite/aluminium titanate multiphase material can be used as raw materials of high temperature kiln furniture.Samples fired at 1600 ℃ had higher high temperature bending strength at 1400 ℃ and excellent thermal shock resistance.Kiln furniture had best comprehensive properties when the content of mullite/aluminium titanate composite was 45%.Thermal simulation experiment showed that mullite-aluminium titanate high temperature kiln furniture could be used as the kiln furniture during the firing of magnetic materials.
