Effect of ZrO_2 and SnO_2 Co-doping on Magnetic and Electrical Properties of MnZn Ferrite with Fe-poor Composition

ZrO2 and SnO2 co-doped low power loss MnZn ferrites were prepared by the standard ceramic method.Effects of SnO2 and ZrO2 doping on the microstructure,magnetic and electrical properties of MnZn ferrites with Fe-poor composition were investigated.It is found that a proper amount of co-doping can improve uniformity of crystalline grains.Co-doping can increase the Curie temperature,saturation magnetic induction and initial permeability,which reach their maximums when ζ(SnO2:ZrO2) equals 3:1.Co-doping can also increase the resistivity and decrease the relative loss factor.When ζ(SnO2:ZrO2) equals 3:1,a maximum resistivity of 29.5 Ωm and a minimum relative loss factor of 4.8×10-6 can be obtained.
