Effect of Polypropylene Fibers on the Recycled Coarse Aggregate Pervious Concrete

Pervious concrete is a sort of porous concrete with an arch frame. In this test, the polypropylene( PVA) fiber reinforced porous concrete was prepared using recycled coarse aggregate which through high-performance processing to replace 30% ordinary coarse aggregate and adding PVA fiber( the content is 0%,0. 5%,1. 0% and 1. 5% respectively). The effect of PVA fiber on porous concrete strength,effective porosity and permeable coefficient were analyzed. Dry shrinkage property and temperature contraction property were also discussed to provide evidence for recycled coarse aggregate porous concrete( RCAPC) design and application. The results show that PVA fiber has a prominent reinforcing effect on RCAPC. PVA fiber has a limited effect on porous concrete effective porosity at the content of 0. 0%-1. 5%. When the size of 90% coarse aggregate is in the range 10-20 mm,the permeable coefficient basically declines when fiber content increases though in a small variation,with the permeable coefficient reaching 2. 4 cm / s when PVA fiber content is 1. 5%,and porous concrete has smaller dry shrinkage property and temperature contraction property.
