In this paper,we studied in vivo anti-tumor effects of Codonopsis pilosula polysacarides (CPPS) and Inteleukin2 (IL-2) on murine S180 tumor.CPPS and IL-2 were administrated in the dose of 400 mg ?kg-1×7 day (ip) or 2 500 U·kg-1×7day (sc) respectively. When used alone, either of them could reduce the weights of murine S180 tumor; when used together, the synergistic antitumor effect was found. It was also found that both CPPS and IL-2 could enhance Con-A stimulated proferation and NK activity of splenocytes in S180 tumor bearing mice. The results suggested that CPPS and IL-2 have the synergistic antitumor effect in vivo and one of the macha-nisms of this effect may relate to the enhancement of the immune functions of the body.
