Ultrasonic Detection of Bonded Interfaces for Solid Motor Nozzles

The principle of the ultrasonic longitudinal wave multiple reflection method applied to nondestructive detection of the bonded inferfaces of metal and non metal composite structural parts for solid rocket motor nozzles is presented. The comparasive test blocks were designed and prepared to test the sensitivity of the method. The detections to the practical samples were carried out and the results show that the method is applicable to in situ test and field defect inspection.
