INNOVATIVE STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR BED SADDLE OF MACHINE BASED ON TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION

In the design of the key components of machine,static and dynamic characteristics are the important aspects to be considered.Based on structural topology optimization technology,two mathematical models was established in this paper to get an innovative configuration of saddle of DLH20 machine tool.CoMPared with the original design,the quality was reduced by 3.34%,in the mean time,the static stiffness of new design was increased substantially and the maximum difference exceeded 22%.In addition,the natural frequency was improved in various degree,while the third-order modes was increased by over 24.59%.
