Study on Function structure and Survivability Simulation for Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON)

Automatically Switched Optical Network(ASON)is a promising network infrastructure. In this paper, the function structure is dis-cussed, and the simulation system is constructed based on the ASON reference model. With the simulation system the basic ASON function and survivability is simulated. The control plane and distributed failure recover are realized functionally in frame of ASON.
