Analysis of the effect of spectral width on crosstalk testing in polarization-maintain fiber

Base on the interference of light, the effect of spectral width on the interference of coupled wave in the polarization-maintain fiber has been analyzed. And the conclusion that the more of the spectral width the better of the crosstalk stabilization in the crosstalk test system has been pointed out. In the experiment, when the spectral width is 5nm, the crosstalk amplitude of variation is about 1dB. It can be meet the challenge of test basically. When we adopt the broadband light source, the stabilization of tested crosstalk is better.
