Researche in demodulation technologies for fiber Bragg grating sensing system

Interference demodulation method and filtering demodulation method are two main wavelength demodulation methods for Fiber Bragg Gratings sensors applied in industrial field at home and abroad in recent years.Their principles, structures, advantages and disadvantages are discussed in this paper firstly, a novel demodulation method based on WDM fiber coupler is proposed later.At last, the challenges need to be solved in the further commercialization of Fiber Bragg Grating sensors are discussed and the prospects of them are given.
