Determination of Trace Elements in Chinese Traditional Medicines by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

In this paper, we used atomic absorption spectrometry to determine the trace elements in seven kinds of Chinese traditional medicines including Dang-gui,Jixueteng,Dihuang,Honghua,Tusizi,Yinyanghuo,and Shechuangzi.The samples were digested with HNO 3-HClO 4 with a proportion of 4∶1.The rates of standard recovery of Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Ni, Co were 99.5%,100.8%,97.8%,97.1%, 102.1% and 96.4% respectively.The results show that the invigorate drugs contain higher amounts of Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn than other elements.
