Implementation of high power transmitting system for grounded source time-domain electromagnetic method

Time-domain electromagnetic method(also called transient electromagnetic method,abbreviated TEM)is a geophysical exploration method.The output current of the transmitter has important implications for the depth and precision of TEM exploration result.This paper analyzes the parameters of the transmitting system in several electromagnetic instruments.A high power transmitting system for grounded source TEM is developed.The block diagram and principle of the transmitting system are presented.The hardware design of the modules is described.The output voltage of the transmitter can be reached 1 500Vand the current can be reached 68A.The maximum power of the transmitting system is100kW.The experimental results verify the performance of the transmitting system.
