Influence of multi-aperture transmitter on the BER of atmospheric laser communication system

Light-intensity oscillation caused by the atmosphere turbulence can influence the performance of the atmospheric laser communication system seriously,causing the increase of the bit error ratio (BER).The relationship of system BER and light-intensity scintillation is given by the Rytov approximation theory.And the MATLAB simulation is carried out,the analysis result shows that the influence of the light-intensity oscillation on the system BER can be reduced by using multi-aperture transmitter,increasing the number of aperture,and selecting long-wavelength light. Besides,the smaller the correlation coefficient of multiple channels is,the smaller the BER is,which can greatly improve the communication performance of the system.
