The Research of High Strength Rockbolt Steel with Medium Carbon

A novel high strength TRIP steel with medium carbon Si-Mn has been designed and investigate its isothermal quenching technological process.The study show that lath of bainite ferrite and film austenite mixed microstructure can been obtained under austeniting at 860 ℃ and then isothermal quenching at 340 ℃ for 3 hours.The properties of the new steel yield strength,tensile strength and enlongation are respectively reached 930 MPa,1400 MPa and 18%.Therefore,the steel may be suitable for application of super high strength rock bolt applied in coalmine roadway.
