GDF9 and BMP15 Genes Analysis of Genetic Variation on Qianbei-pockmarked Goats

Growth differentiation factor 9(GDF9)gene and bone morphogenetic protein 15(BMP15) gene as candidate genes on the prolificacy.Single nucleotide polymorphism of GDF9 gene and BMP15 gene was detected in Qianbei-pockmarked goats by sequencing.The results showed that there was one single nucleotide mutation(A562→C562) at exon 2 of GDF9 gene in Qianbei-pockmarked goats,and this mutation resulted in an amino acid change: glutamine→proline.The results indicated that there were two genotypes(AA and Aa) detected in Qianbei-pockmarked goats,genotypic frequency was respectively 0.7273 and 0.2727;frequency of A and a allele was 0.8637 and 0.1363.The results showed that there was one single nucleotide mutation(C480→G480)at exon 2 of BMP15 gene in Qianbei-pockmarked goats,and this mutation resulted in an amino acid change: glutamine→glutamate.The results indicated that there were two genotypes(BB and Bb) detected in Qianbei-pockmarked goats,genotypic frequency was respectively 0.7000 and 0.3000;frequency of B and b allele were 0.8500 and 0.1500.
